South Africa's President Jacob Zuma defied a threat by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and arrived in Abuja for the inauguration of the President-elect Muhammadu Buhari..
Before the inaugural ceremony NANS gave Zuma a warning to stay away from the inauguration ceremony.
This warning came as a result of xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals in South Africa, including Nigerians and Zuma's Non-nonchalant attitude in the handling of the crisis.
Zuma apologized to Mozambique over the attack on their citizens but yet to apologize to Nigerians.
"President Zuma would be fulfilling his presidential duties in Nigeria such as enhancing the good bilateral relations between the two great countries, and also strengthening the economic ties. Also, he congratulated the people of Nigeria for conducting a transparent, peaceful, credible, free and fair election as it was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission."
