American woman in south africa killed by a lionness.

A lioness at a Lion park in South Africa was said to have killed an American lady(unidentified) and injuring her companion(name withheld).The American lady whom was disclosed to be in her early 20's(22-years-old to be precise) was  dragged to her death by a lioness after she and her companion left their window down during the drive-thru African safari.

The duo's were attacked unexpected in a SUV at Gauteng Lion park near Johannesburg this afternoon.It was believed the deceased had been trying to take pictures with the windows open when the lioness jumped in to bite her,her companion who was there with her tried rescuing her but got seriously injured .The police confirmed the lady to be an American citizen and the US Embassy also confirmed that the incident has been reported to them.

The lioness responsible for the attack had been identified,caught and put in a separate enclosure but plans to kill the animal is void.Mr.Simpson the park's manager said there are no intentions to put away the lioness because they put huge signs in the park warning tourists to keep their windows closed.
