It all went down yesterday the 29th of july 2017 with the gathering of Royal fathers and dignitaries from all works of lives. The memorial lecture started with an opening prayer followed by remarks by the chancellor/President of Oduduwa university Dr. R. A. Adedoyin who gave blessed memories of the late Oba Okunade Sijuwade saying that he was a good father to him whom have taught him lots in life and help shaping him to being a great man that he is today. It all went on that way with friends to the
late Oba giving their remarks about him and what it's like to be around the then Oba. Well, family members weren't left behind as they all graced with event lovely dressed.
Speaking for the family, Prince Aderemi said that his father was a man fun to be with though a king he always instilled discipline, hard work and loyalty to them as kids. He preached love and unity as one Nigeria as he gave a story of how a man defamed the late Oba but instead of taking action against him, he invited him over for a dinner and resolved amicably..
The Olori's weren't left out as they gave remarks of the youthful years of a great king Ife ever had and his glory days.

Lead speaker Professor. Adisa Ogunfolakan (Harvard University) spoke about the works and good deed of the then Oba alongside Professor. Dibu Ojerinde whom unveiled the biography of the then Oba.
Also storming the event was Senator Omisore acknowledging the impact of the Oba to nation building. Sen Omisore added that we all need to be good supportive follower to our country and it's leadership.
